Dr. Shreya Patel earned her Optometry Degree at Pennsylvania College of Optometry in 1999. Her clinical training includes comprehensive primary eye care, diagnosis and management of ocular diseases and contact lens fittings.
She completed her training in various settings, including The Eye Institute in Philadelphia and the BrooklynVeterans Affair Hospital in New York. Dr. Patel was inducted into the Beta Sigma Kappa International Optometric Honor Society and is a proud member of the American Optometric Association and the Connecticut Association of Optometrists.
Dr. Patel strongly believes that healthy eyes and good vision begin with a healthy lifestyle and is especially interested in eye foods and nutrition. She takes the time to listen to her patients and is motivated by her genuine concern for each person that she examines. Dr. Patel hopes to build a relationship with you based on your trust in her skills and intentions. She looks forward to providing eye health and vision care for you and your family.
During her free time, Dr. Patel loves traveling. She is a true foodie and enjoys eating and cooking different cuisines. She cherishes time with her family and friends.
Dr. Sasha Patel is a primary eye care provider who is devoted to delivering comprehensive and personalized care. She received her Bachelor of Science in Biology at Georgia Institute of Technology, where she worked with glaucoma research. Dr. Sasha then earned her Vision Science and Doctor of Optometry degrees at Nova Southeastern University, graduating with clinical honors. Her expertise and training was cultivated at various distinguished private ophthalmology practices, as well as multidisciplinary health care settings in Georgia and Florida.
As an optometrist, Dr. Sasha enjoys creating meaningful patient-doctor relationships that allow her to better understand patient-specific needs to prevent, preserve, optimize, and treat vision related findings. Her clinical specialties reside in primary eye care and ocular disease with particular focus on dry eye disease, nutrition, and myopia management. Dr. Sasha is also a writer and editor of educational optometric resources; it is her passion to pair quality care with emphasis on staying at the forefront of ocular health advancements.
Beyond the office, Dr. Sasha enjoys making jewelry, acrylic painting, traveling, and spending time with family! She is honored to serve, as well as explore, the Fairfield county community.
